Aida Pacheco, President of the Cultural Society said, “None of us want to go there first of all, also the pastor there said we were adrift, leaderless, and looking for a home. We took that as total disrespect towards our community. And the priest from Campbell said no Spanish mass is to be offered in Campbell and that included the CCD classes for the children who have been coming here, do not know the language and no CCD in Spanish, We constantly have new people coming in.”

Pacheo explained, “About 60 to 80 people attend mass now that the pandemic is going. The number has dropped because some people can’t wear masks. We had the most people attending mass than the other three churches in Campbell you know, so why do you want to get rid, send this whole community to a different church? It just doesn’t make sense to me. A lot of the elderly people they moved to Campbell they walk to church.”
